Here’s one that I did a week or two ago. It’s on panel, about 11×14″….. turned out fairly nicely – looks better in real life than this crummy photo would suggest.
Have also just completed a large commission piece. It’s of a series of houses downtown – will post about it in a few days or so – after I let it sit for a bit. Sometimes when you let things sit a bit and mull over them you see things you’d want to change.
Anyway, this one will be in the Studio Tour – April 13, 14, 15th, 2012.
It takes time…… lots of time to prepare for a big show like The London Studio Tour! And it is so fun to have the winter to just create in the studio with the wood stove a blazing and the music playing.
Hope you enjoy these new paintings I just finished!
So it’s been a busy week around these parts, now that I am teaching two classes at Fanshawe College for the spring semester. I have managed to finish off another piece for our spring show – this time on canvas, and at 24″x24″.
It’s a fun one, a bit of a return to some older ideas for me, with the ocean view, and a village by the coast. I think it has a nice village feeling.
This one will be available for the London Artist Studio tour.
Here is a newer piece by Corinne, “hot off the easel.” Done on board, in oil, with a bit of graphite markup. It is of Covent Garden market, one of Corinne’s favourite places to paint in London. She went there the other day with Ivy and took some pictures and enjoyed a smoothy.
This piece (if it does not sell beforehand) will be in the London Artist Studio Tour, which is fast approaching. It happens in early April.
As we try to get our website back up and filled with paintings, we will be posting here on a more regular basis – check back often for new paintings!
Finished this one today, it’s about 11×14 size, and painted on panel. I like the way the stream winds through. Very nicely balanced colours, and they look rich and full. A little fussy, in that it is smaller, with lots of detail, so it took a bit longer than usual.
